Beautiful hike with a clear lake at the top. Not too challenging for families with children, and the view from the lake is amazing. Would definitely recommend to anyone passing by.

Perfect length for a half day. Easy route up nothing really strenuous. The pay off far exceeds the effort to get up there. Don't be put off by the altitude climb, it's easy and well marked. No chance of getting lost.
Absolutely stunning.. approximately one hour walk each way but with it.. wear old shoes as a bit dusty.
Access to some of the alpine granite in Washington!
The lake is nestled in a snow bowl and even in late august there was still snow. If you are lucky you may see the mountain goats.
