This is a nice place. Well apportioned rooms and located on the river. No on site staff so call ahead for reservations. I thought rate was reasonable for a resort village.
Convenient location, clean and well equipped lodge overlooking the river, but beware: we booked well in advance through Central Reservations, found on the Winthrop town website, which inspired confidence. I received a mail 2 days before our stay explaining that there had been a "mistake" and that the cost would be an extre $75 per night! I was given the choice to cancel, but nothing else was available at such short notice. In any case, exactly 1 minute later, a 2nd mail conformed my reservation at the new price! After stern negotiation, Central Reservations agreed to bear half of the extra cost. Most dissapointing.... and probably even illegal.
Nice clean Hotel with a community deck that overlooks the river. very pleasant
We stayed in apt 1. Beautiful view of the Chewuch river from the living room and deck. The free coffee in the room was fresh and delicious. Was even able to walk down to the river and catch and release a few trout.
